Yes, you can create a new accepted domain, as many as you want.
And email will work. Make sure that your new domain's MX record point to the same place as the old, so that they hit your Exchange server.

As they said, it will work with multiple accepted domain. If you want to set different primary email address for different users with accepted domains, please make sure the MX record in public DNS is created for each SMTP domain for which you accept email from the Internet.
