No external incoming mail for specific users
Hi all,
I have two exchange 2003 SP2 servers. Some new users with mail boxes on
server 1 do not recieve external email ie from outside our domain. All users
recieve internal email.
If I move a faulty mailbox to server b, all their external email comes into
their mail box. I noticed an excess of log files under the mdbdata, checked
the backup and sure enough it had not run for 2 weeks. I ran a manual backup
and presto the log files are gone. Still have the problem though. I have 248
Mail boxes on this server.

Was this working earlier?
The basic mail flow works as follows
external domain --> MX --> FW (anti spam device ) --> FE Server --> Back end.
see if those mails are even hitting the FW. I will bet on the FW rules.Raj

Hi AngIT,
What about your scenario, such as topology.
Per your description, you have two exchange 2003 sp2, how do you configure the two server, is it one a FE and the other one is BE.
If so, you should create the user mailbox on BE.
If not os, please post more information, we could do more research regarding to your issue?
Regards!
