Non-Sending Mailbox
Hi, all I want to create a Mailbox, that can be accessed from multiple users, use the exchange adress book, etc. But i don't want mails to be send. Either those mails shall be blocked or automaticly redirected to another adress. Still an item in the SendItems of the Mailbox shall be created. How to achive this?

Version of Exchange please? For 2007 and 2010 the best thing would be to set a Hub Transport rule. In 2010 you can even moderate them in case you do want to allow it to send in certain situations. Cant give you an answer purely for 2003 because its brutal and if you dont know Exchange you have no chance. For 2010 its really easy. There is even a blog complete with screen scrapes to walk you through the solution. See: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/01/28/453891.aspx for details. If you have a 2010 environment the best solution for you would be to move the mailboxes to a 2010 environment but its not essential since the 2010 HT can be used to route and manage messages coming from a 2003 hosted mailbox. Personally Id eliminate the 2003 frm the mix wherever possible. "Jaster" wrote in message news:ff72ec9e-7f57-4c9e-bb80-bf62b3135c72... Thanks for the answer! It seems quite easy using 2010, but its not completly up to me. So the Hub transport rules will be used for the first scenario. Also if the 2003 solution is quite brutal and requires deep knowlage, I'd like to have ;) Would you mind? Regards.

Hi Jaster, In Exchange Server 2003, you need use transport agent to achieve the goal. You can get more information of how to develop transport agent in Exchange Server 2003 on this forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrdevelopment/threads Thanks, Evan Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
