Non-existant Exchange 2007 server, and mailbox database issues.
Hi!Here's my problem:Operating system on my Exchange 2007 server have stopped responding. I have installed a new Exchange server on fresh OS, and moved my mailbox and public folder databases to new hard drive. What do i want to do now is:1. Attach old databases to the existing server.2. Remove all traces of old Exchange server from AD.How do i do it?Thanks.

I will preface by saying an Online Backup and Restore of your Exchange Server would be the best solution going forward from here, lesson learned.Since you have the offline database files then you should be able to mount these files with new Exchange 2007 Server. The procedure has not changed that much from Exchange 2003 other than you no longer have an .stm file. Your 2nd question might be a little more difficult since you did not remove Exchange 2007 properly (Add/Remove Programs) but not by choice. To manually remove from AD I would suggest ADSI Edit,http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=278918 MVP Exchange Server
