Not able to send from secondary SMTP email address.
Hi All, I have request to enable user to be able to send from multiple SMTP addresses. i.e. The user has primary email : First.last@company1.com. He needs to be able to send First.last@company2.com (we only have one AD domain). So I have created another SMTP account on email address tab. Now user can receive the emails on both the email address fine, but when you click reply it pops up the from box with his primary email address. If he drops down and selects the secondary email address in From field then email just bounces back with error "You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Please verify that you are sending on behalf of the correct sender, or ask your system administrator to help you get the required permission. " Please advice Thanks

That feature is not intended to select secondary smtp addresses only other separate accounts. You have to create a separate account in order do do this and grant him send as rights to the second account or use third party. http://ivasoft.com/choosefrom2007.shtmlJames Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
