Not receiving external emails on Exchange Server 2007
My organization's email is being hosted by Network Solutions, however, we are using our Exchange Server to manage emails. All of a sudden we aren't able to receive external emails. We can send out external emails but can't receive them.

I tried that specifically, I tried the internet email test. Was the right one?
What's odd about the problem is that it's only affecting one email address on the network.

After checking the event viewer, I found the following error message
The TCP/IP connection with the 'localhost' server was terminated while trying to access the
'username@parents4publicschools.org' mailbox. The cause may be server problems, network problems, a long period of inactivity, a connection time limit, or incorrect connection settings.
What does this mean?

Hi,
Did you checked whether the Receiving Connectors are working perfectly?
Exchange Management Console ->Server Configuration ->Hub Transport
In the bottom right pane the Receive Connector tab should already be in front
You should see "Default (your server name here)"
If it is perfect, check with your firewall settings for any block for inbound messages
Another thing is your ISP settings. Contact ISP and confirm that their part is okay
