OAB Error (OALGen encountered error)
Hi
I get an error for the OAB on a Exchange Mailbox Server CCR Cluster: OALGen encountered error 9395 and 9334. How can I solve this?
Thanks

This error indicates that your activeCCR node is nowrunning on the other node than what it has been. The following registry key will need to be modified to reflect the name of the current active node:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeSA\Parameters\{ClusterMailboxServerName}\ EnableOabGenOnThisNode
Enter the machine name of the physical server that is now the active node.
Then, if you're able to gen a new OAB on the fly, go ahead and start that process and check the event log to make sure it now works. Otherwise, wait until the next scheduled update and see how that goes.

Hello and thanks for your answer. When I have configured this registry key on the active node, it should work in the future? Or do I have to do this on every fail over?
Thanks

If you are going to let the cluster run on the newly active node (whichever physical node it may be) after every failover, then yes it will have to be changed back and forth each time. It's a pain... Not so much because it causes major problems, but it is one of those things that can be really easy to forget about.

Hello Lee
Thanks for the explaination. Does this change to restart another service? Do you know why microsoft hasn't implemented a solution for this effect?
Thanks
