OAB migrate servers
We have/had the following setup for exchange.Windows Server 2000/ Exchange 5.5, and a Windows 2003 Server with Exchange 2003 Server. All user have been moved off the old 5.5 server. We have had a power issue where our old Exchange 5.5 server died. It looks like there was some of the OAB that was stored on the old system. Now some users are having the issue with the downloading their Offline address book.
Microsoft Exchange offline address book 0X8004010FIs there a way to either force a sync if we can get the 5.5 online for about 15 mins before it crashes. Or can we Rebuild the location of the OAB to the newer server? The Free/Busy schedule seems ok as well as the public folders. Thanks for any helpA

Thenmove the OAB generation server to Exchange 2003.Remove the 5.5 server from the replicas list.15 minutes may not be long enough for replication, but give it a shot.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP---

Hi,Please first try the below article to check this issue:http://support.microsoft.com/?id=905813If the issue persists, please check whether the mailbox store has associated with the OAB. If there is no issue, please try to recreate the Offline Address Book based on the below article:http://blogs.msdn.com/dgoldman/archive/2007/04/19/outlook-oab-download-fails-with-0x80004005-and-0x8004010f.aspxhttp://blogs.msdn.com/dgoldman/archive/2008/10/01/understanding-why-error-code-0x8004010f-is-thrown-when-trying-to-download-an-oab.aspxThanksAllen

I have tried the inital responce for the 905813.it looks like it had missed a step last time i tried it.I had check the
In Exchange System Manager, expand the Recipients container.
Click the Offline Address Lists container.
In the right pane, right-click the offline address list object, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, verify that a valid address list is populated under Address lists. If a valid address list is not populated under Address lists, you must add one.Note The default address is the global address list.
Click OK.
Right-click the offline address list object again, and then click Set as New Default if the offline address list object is not set. (RESET this again to default even if it is already set)
If you made any changes, right-click the offline address list object again, and then click Rebuild.
The STEP 6 seems that it should be done again even if it is currently set to Default.Seem to work for me when I restarted my local Outlook, will check on a few other clients and let you know.A

It seems to last a few days and now the sync issues are back...Any ideas on why it might return?
