OMA - Increase available connections
I have a client who runs SBS 2003 with Exchange Server 2003. They are consistently bumping up against the limit of connections with which to connect their various mobile devices. I know there is a registry setting that will allow more connections but at what cost? Have any of you run into this issue? What are the possible implications of increasing the allowance? Is Blackberry Enterprise Server a good alternative? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Michael

Unless there's a reason why there should be more then 32 connections to the mailbox from the same user, don't do this. You'll just wind up having the same problem when the number of connections reaches some greater number. >Have any of you run into this issue? With WiFi users moving between AP? If you haven't already, add the "KeepAliveTime" registry value and set it to 300000 (5 minutes). http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff648853.aspx --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
