OWA - Error 1209
Hi there,We have exchange 2003 set up to provide email within and also have some people out ine China who are accessing their emails via outlook web access! But they are now experience a problem in that they can't read any emails anymore and frequently get the error "error 1209". I am not sure as to if it is outlook related, exchange related, XP related or firewall related! Or any other relation!Any help would be greatly appreciated!PS OWA is fine within the company(in the UK).Philippe BeallIT Assistant.

Philippe,
In order to support those users on OWA make sure that you have installed support for East Asian Languages on both the Exchange 2003 Front-End (OWA) and Back-End (Mailbox) servers. If you have multiple mailbox server then only those which contain mailboxes of the China users need to be updated.
The following link has direction on how to do so:

Ok cool thanks for your help. That is kind of weird considering they've been using it for the last 6 months without any problems!I've now installed these but will need to restart which will have to be done at about 10pm so that it doesn't effect us here and those in China. Hopefully that'll solve it.Phil.

I was under the impression that you just deployed this, if it's already been working for 6 months then I doubt that will resolve your issue. It can't hurt to have the language support installed, but there may yet be another problem. Of course rebooting the servers themselves might resolve the issue if it resource related.

So far it seems to be a lot better. Although whether or not it is down to the language pack or down to the fact it was rebooted is beyond me lol! Thanks,Phil.
