OWA 2003 and Windows 7 compatibility
Our current Exchange version is 2003 on Windows 2003, all clients run on XP. Anticipating to gradually roll out Windows 7 to the whole company, I am testing, among other things, OWA access via Windows 7. Right off, using Win7 to access OWA is problematic: (1) When opennign up new messages, the very first time, the message comes up blank. If I close it and reopen the same message, then the dispaly is fine. (2) Inserting address using address book won't work (3) Message flag won't work and no matter what I do, will not applyRead, Blue or what not After searching up and down to see if I need to apply patches to my Exchange server, I found these two: KB911829 and KB924334. After applying them, only fixes Item#2. All other symptoms remain. And also, if I double click on the flag itself on a message, why the message gets open is always the highlighted message at that time, not the message you think should open? Please help to see what I need to do in order to mak Exchange 2003 OWA work with IE6(XP) and IE8(Windows 7). It is still early for us to migrate to Exchange 2010 (no reason to go to 2007 at this point). That will be at least 9 months to 1 year away. Any help or pointer is appreciated.
