OWA 2010 proxy to Mailbox in remote Site
We are introducing our first OWA2010 in the head office this month.
Question:
We have an Exchange 2007 SP3 Server with all roles on it running in a remote site.
Lets say a user-A resides on this server. Now when s/he accesses the link
https://webmail.domain.com/owa from the internet, how will his/her request proxy to his/her MBX Server. I have read documents online on how this works, just wandering what settings would I have to configure on my first OWA2012 and/or on Exchange 2007SP3
in the remote site to route such requests to their mailboxes, flawlessly?
Advise Please.
Thank you

Read the Proxy & Redirection TechNet article that the product team wrote:

make sure that the E20007 site does not have an externalURL set for the OWA vDIR, and you will MANUALLY have to copy over the versions folder to the Exchange 2010 server. This is in the above article but is often missed.
To allow an Exchange 2010 Client Access server to proxy Outlook Web App requests to an Exchange 2007 Client Access server in another Active Directory site, you must copy the highest-versioned folder from an Exchange 2007 Client Access server in the destination
Active Directory site from the %installpath%\ClientAccess\OWA\ folder to the same path on the Exchange 2010 Client Access server that's making the proxy request
