We are installing Exchange 2013 and Im noticing the following.

When accessing https://mail.contoso.com/ from a Windows 8 phone am getting the mobile version of OWA.

But when accessing the same URL from an Android phone 4.2 im getting the lite desktop version of OWA. If I force the browser to show the desktop version of OWA, I get the regular full version.

The only way I can get the mobile version on Android is to use the following URL https://mail.contoso.com/?layout=tnarrow, and this can be the right way to open it.

Am i missing something?

Per the article no support for android phones, only windows i ios.

Hi,

I believe you notice that OWA supports light version for all other smartphones and tablets except windows phone and iOS. However it is a good way to add ?layout=tnarrow into URL to work around. Now, Microsoft release the OWA mobile app to Android phones.
