OWA Forbidden page
Hi,I am in process of moving from Exchange 2003 to 2007. WhatI would like to do is, if a user has been moved from 2003 to 2007 and tries to log into the old OWA, I would like to modify the error page and point them in the right direction. Where does the error come from? I tried searching everywhere for it.
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.TIA

Requests to /exchange on the CAS or Mailbox server will redirect the user to /owa. Authentication credentials transparently passed through
Please see the example 3 in the Outlook Web Access and Exchange 2007, 2003 and 2000 coexistence

Thanks James.I am aware of that, but a lot of users have book marks to the old url, so when they access this old url and they get the 403 error, I would like to be able to inform them of the change and then allow them to click on the new URL that I will be providing on the error page. The problem is I can't find where this error page is located. Thanks

Please describe the exchange topology. Did the exchange server role installed separately?
User can access OWA when attempting to use /OWA virtual directory, right?

Hi,No edge server and all 4 roles are on one server. The only users that can access OWA by /OWA are the users that are on the new exchange server (Exchange 2007). If I use the /exchange then users still on exchange 2003 can get to there mail. The problem is those users who are now on Exchange 2007, when they try their short cut, it will take them to OWA on Exchange 2003.

Per my research, the root cause of the issue shall be the Require SSL checkbox (/Exchange virtual directory) on your exchange 2007 server. Please go to the exchange 2007 server, open IIS manager, uncheck the Require SSL option in the /Exchange virtual directory, and then run IISRESET /NoForce to reset IIS. After that, exchange 2007 users shall be able to access their mailboxes via /Exchange virtual directory on the exchange 2003 server

Hi,That will work. Thanks a lot for your help on this one. Very much appreciatedOn a side note, so I will be redirecting all my users to the /exchange. Is it fine to leave this or after the move is complete should I change the link to /owa?Thanks.

Eventually, you shall let all users to use /owa rather than /Exchange
