OWA encryption using S/MIME in exchange 2003
i have just configured my Exchange 2003 enviroment to do encryption by using my Certificate Authortity to issue certificates. It is working beautifully on my outlook clients. I can digitally sign, encrypt and view emails. unfortunatly when i try to open OWA to view the encrypted message i get the following error message in OWA.This message can't be decrypted. if you have a smart card-based ID, insert the card and try to open the message again.Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Hello Donte,To decrypt an encrypted email message you need to have a client which understands S/MIME. You can see all your ecrypted messages in outlook clearly because outlook must have already been configured to use the your own encryption certificate. OWA does not recognize it unless you have the S/MIME control installed in your browser. Take a look at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998354(EXCHG.65).aspxfor more reading. This is the best available documentation on the web.M-Milind Naphade
