OWA problem
Hello
I wonder if anyone can guide me though an issue we have please? We are replacing our 5 old exchange hardware with new hardware. The first new server users and old server users are able to log in to owa with just theuser name and password. The 2nd and 3rd new server users cannot login with owa they get: You could not be logged on to Outlook Web Access. Make sure your domain\user name and password are correct, and then try again.
We have moved the services RUS, offline ad book off the first server in the site which has been switched off but not uninstalled.
Could this be the problem? Are the 2nd and 3rd servers looking for something we have missed from the retiring first old server>
We have a simple backend front end arrangement of 5 backend servers and one frontend OWA server.
Most grateful for any ideas.....

Walk through this document to troubleshoot:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327843/en-usTroubleshooting Outlook Web Access logon failures in Exchange 2000 and in Exchange 2003Also, run ExBpa against those those servers:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=DBAB201F-4BEE-4943-AC22-E2DDBD258DF3&displaylang=en

Thanks Andy I have emulated the settings on the old servers where people can logon with just the username -using 327843 as a guide but no joy. I am about to run ExBpa - but please could you tell me what I need to look out for please. Also would rebooting the frontend server help? thanks

ExBpa will flag any issues or configurations that are not "standard". Rebooting wont hurt :)Also, anything in the event logs? Also check IIS logs and post the entries here that show the failures if they continue.Since you are remving the server that holds the original roles in the 2003 admin groupo, be sure to follow:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822931How to remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer from the administrative group

Thanks for your expert advice I had a look at the IIS logs on the owa server in \\owa\c$\WINDOWS\system32\logfiles\w3svc1 and saw that it was not authenticating requests from the new boxes. So I rebooted the frontend server (OWA) and it now works So thanks once again.
