OWA wont authenticate, but ecp works fine exchange 2013 cu6
While trying to pass a PCI compliance test, we were in iis7.5 (exchange 2013 CU6) trying to adjust Authentication. We must have changed something that has caused us not to be able to log in to owa. ecp works great. If we type in the wrong password in owa, it lets us know, but when we type in the correct one, we are redirected to the login screen. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Hello,

If the issue still persists after the update, you can also try:

1. Rebuilding the OWA virtual directory.

2. Check the IIS log and let us know the detailed error code like 403.1 and 500.2.

Thanks,

I assume you can't remember what was changed in IIS?  If not, then perhaps you can remember what the PCI failure was?  That might give us an idea of the sort of thing you might have changed.

It would also help to see the IIS log entries generated by your attempts to log in.

Problem Solved. Windows authentication on OWA backend was disabled. I found it by looking at the IIS history to see what I failed to log as I made changes. Also changed alternate host (command line) to solve PCI issue
