I purchased Office 2013 and I am running Windows 8.

I try running excel and it starts up then I go try work on a previous document xls document and it tells me that excel has run into an error. It will not open the document and when I do the repair (tried both quick and online). It comes back and tells me "We are sorry we could not install your Office product because you don't have a modern Windows operating system. I have tried 5 times to install and the same thing happens. Oh yes and when it goes through the repair protocol and comes back with the error Office is not to be found until you try install again then you have to use the auto uninstall prior to installing.

This is frustrating as heck. This could be the final straw in my turning to Apple and an OS that works without trouble
