Office 2013 Professional and Trusted Locations

I am having a lot of trouble with macro enabled documents and running them without a prompt from a trusted location.

The only way I can get a document to open without prompting to enable macros is Trust Center Settings - Enable all macros

Obviously this isn't desirable and I would like to pick and choose trusted locations for documents to open without prompting.

From documentation I've seen online, you should have the option to make a document trusted, so it no longer prompts on subsequent opens.  However the only option I have is to enable macros for this session only, I cannot seem to make a document trusted for all sessions.

Cheers!

Hi rev0luci0n667,

Based on your description, my understanding is the document has been saved in trusted location, but when you open it still prompt security warning? Please check the option of TRUSTED DOCUMENTS, make sure you dont check the Disable Trusted Documents.

Trusted Documents provides a simple one click step to always enable active content (e.g. Macros, ActiveX controls etc.) in a document. We remember your trust decision on the file and dont show you the security prompt the next time you open the file.

In Office, you will continue to see the Message Bar when a macro, data connection, ActiveX control or other type of active content is in the document. Here is the Message Bar that comes up when more than one type of active content is disabled (e.g. macros and ActiveX controls).

There are two entry points to make a document Trusted. If you click Enable Content on the Message Bar the document will be automatically added to Trusted Documents list in your registry. Second, you can click the Message Bar for details; it will take you to the Backstage view. In the Backstage view you can click the Enable Content button which will bring up two options.

Please refer to this article to get more information about TRUSTED DOCUMENTS:

If my understanding is incorrect, I suggest you take a shortcut about your trust center and upload it. Or please be a bit more precise explain your needed, Im glad to help and follow up your reply.
