I'm sorry if this isn't the correct place for this question but my google/technet searches have found nothing for this specific question. I don't know if this is just specific to me but I will try to explain my situation as best as possible.
We would like to turn on Modern Authentication for all our users so that we don't to use App Passwords anymore in Office365 with our Outlook 2013. I made the change on my PC in the registry to enable ADAL then for a month or so it worked great. I could delete the app password and Outlook used my correct account password. So then today comes where my password policy forced me to change the password as it normally does every 60days but after changing passwords, restarting PC thinking maybe it was caching my old one, my outlook will not prompt me to enter the new password and instead gives me an error
Task 'akniss@obsmail.com' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.'
Checking the event log, I'm not seeing anything that can be causing it to error. so then I tried opening Outlook in Safemode by holding the CTRL key when clicking on it. This time if gives me at least a message in the bottom status bar that its needs a password but when I click it, the screen flickers, then I see the outline of what would be the sign in box, and nothing happens, then shows disconnected, then back to "needs password" again.
any information about this or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
