I've been tasked with developing a solution that connects to multiple Exchange mailboxes and performs some actions on them.

To do this - I need to set up an Office 365 environment that has multiple mailboxes (approx. 100). I've already used up a 30 day trial of Office 365 - and I've now stumbled into the Developer subscription, but I can't find any information on what I can do with it. Can I setup Exchange and multiple mailboxes within here?

All the information I can find talks about Office App development, and Sharepoint - neither of which I'm interested in. I just want an environment to mess around with Exchange mailboxes (for non-production use).

Any thoughts, Ideas?

You are right that Microsoft Office 365 Developer Subscription only provides tools and an environment to build and test apps for the Office and SharePoint stores.

Can I setup Exchange and multiple mailboxes within here? - As far as I know, Exchange Online is included in this subscription, but there is only one license in this subscription as this is basically a testing environment for Office and SharePoint apps.
