In June, I deployed Office 365 to about 55 users using a configuration.xml file that configured the clients to look to an internal network share for updates (\\serverFQDN\Share\Office365\Updates)
I've downloaded the latest version of Office 365 and have the (2) .cab files plus the folder 15.0.xx.xxxx ..... I've placed these files in the Updates folder, yet none of my clients are updated to the latest version.
I've also tried copying these updated source files into a "Data" folder and placed them in the Updates folder, as this page sorta/kinda implies: http://community.office365.com/en-us/blogs/office_365_community_blog/archive/2013/03/06/office-365-proplus-administrator-series-client-deployment-options.aspx
I've watched the "Garage series" video enough times... Please don't refer me to that.
If anyone has successfully updated their clients from a local share, please tell me the secret. OR, if there is a way to enable verbose logging on the clients so I can see why they aren't getting updated, I'd appreciate that information as well.
