Office Outlook 2003 Error
Yesterday I started to get the following error message when trying to get my Outllok mail messages on one of my email accounts and I can't receive mail as a result....... on the effected oneonly. "Task 'pop.xxxxxxxxxx.ca - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR [SYS/PERM] Unable to process From lines (envelopes) in /var/mail/blair; change recognition mode or check for corrupted mail drop.'"I've experienced a similar thing in the past but I'll be damned if I can remember what the problem was. My email address hasn't changed nor has my password. Also a keep getting a popup asking me toEnterNetworkPasswordwhichasI'vestatedhasn'tchanged. So no email on one account (which is my main email account), and an annyoying popup to boot.Is this a problem at my end or at my ISP's end? Anyone out there know whats going on and how to solve it.

this forum is for exchange server related topics, but in your case, you might want to logon to your pop server and just reset your password. its possible something got corrupt. if that doesnt work, contact your pop provider.

I started getting the above with 2007 users with exchange 2003. Did you ever get a useful answer to solve the problem that actualy worked? If your memory serves you right, can you recall? Oh, it is server related as the solution is not any of the following already reccommended: 1. run regsvr32 inetcomm.dll 2. reset password 3. re-create mailbox 4. change to imap 5. change mail client 6. Blame ISP 7. Switch to webmail 8. Ask IT and hope they don't give up troubleshooting Solution after lots of testing that actualy work Verify mailbox name and alias match in active directory. I found this problem to occur when strict policies are enforced in the fight against constant spam and verification is done. I can re-create the problems over and over again.
