I have Office 2013 in my Windows 8 computer. I am getting an Icon in my notification area on the desktop saying that "Office Updates are Available", but if I either click or right click n the icon, nothing happens. This has been happening every 1/2 hour or so today.

Basically, I did this:

Open an Office 2013 Program. I used Excel. Go to File -> Accounts. You'll see an Update Options button under the Activation Status. Click the Update Options button and tell it to apply updates. You'll have to close the program for the updates to complete. It will reopen after.

Kind of stupid you have to open an app first to update.

Especially if the first thing the update asks you to do is to close the app... :-)

Just clicking the icon should bring you directly to the update.

But hey, maybe THAT is in this update.
