Offline Addresbook is not updated/created
Hello, All help with this problem is really apreciated because the whole 'thing' is going on for a while now We have an Exchange Organisation which consists of 3 exchange 2003 servers. Two of them are new. Before there were two Exchange 2000 servers in the organisation which are now offline. They were deleted manually and not the proper way from the organisation (this might cause the issues we are experiencing). Now since some months the Offline Addressbook is not updating. I deleted the old Offline Addressbook and created a new one - now the Offline Addressbook in Outlook is empty. Today while trying to recreate the addressbook via right click and 'create new' in Exchange System Manager i get the following error: Ereignistyp:WarnungEreignisquelle:MSExchangeSAEreigniskategorie:OAL-Generator Ereigniskennung:9337Datum:10.12.2008Zeit:11:59:29Benutzer:Nicht zutreffendComputer:EXCHANGE-MUCBeschreibung:Es wurden keine Empfnger in der Adressliste "\ffentliche Ordner\Global Default Address List" gefunden. Die Offlineadressliste wird nicht generiert. - Default Offline Addresslist Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie unter "http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp". The server is german, sorry, but basically it says there are no recipients in the Addresslist that is used to create the OAL which results in the OAL not to be created. I did not find any information about this error online, maybe you can give me a hint. If you need any more information please ask, I am sure I forgot important information. Thank you Patrick

Dear customer: In order to better troubleshoot the issue, please check the following information: 1.Open ESM; right click the server container, Right click and select properties. 2.Select the Diagnostics Logging Tab. 3.Under Services select 'MSExchangeSA'. 4.Under Categories select 'OAL Generator'. 5.Select Maximum and click ok. 6.Now after you have done this you will want to save out the application log and then clear it out. 7.Rebuild your Offline Address List. a)Open the Recipients container. b)Right click and select properties for your Offline Address List. c)Select 'Rebuild'. 8.Now that you have turned up diagnostic logging and rebuilt your Offline Address List, look in the application log and see how far you got. In addition, you can try the following method: 1.Open ESM, navigate to Recipient Update Services, right click the following items respectively, select properties, make sure the Windows Domain Controller that you set is online.
