We're currently getting ready to install Exchange 2007 and have run into a bit of a road block. In our current organization, we have an active/passive Exchagne 2000 cluster as well as an old Exchange 5.5 server. Now, the Exchange 5.5 server has been off line for a number of years. In System Manger, if I right-click on the Exchange 5.5 server, all the options are greyed out. Does anyone know of a way to remove the Exchagne 5.5 server from the organizaion? I have found this article, http://support.microsoft.com/?id=278918, but I'm not sure what, if any, effect it will have on the 2000 cluster. Thanks.

Hi, That article will do the trick, just follow the instructions and you will be good. I wont have any affect on the 2000 servers because the 5.5 server is not online anyway. Thanks Will
