I have a strange issue that I can't seem to figure out and happens on Outlook client 2013 or 2007 - back-end Exchange is 2007.
I'm opening a mailbox that I have permission to and only access when support issues arise. I add to my PC, handle the support issue and remove the mailbox from my PC.
The behavior I'm seeing is in the send/receive status bar - I see the previously opened mailbox updating within my Outlook client, even though that mailbox is no longer added.
Any ideas?

1. have you tried restart your outlook client ?
2. Also makesure the mailbox is removed properly by go to account settings
3. Also open your outlook profile through MFCMAPI and verify

How do you add the mailbox in your PC that you only have the permission to? What's the permission?
Check this issue in OWA to see if that mailbox exists.
