I am using Windows 7 (64bit) with IE9 and Office professional 2007 but with One Note 2010 because it prints in a 64 bit system.  All the Office programs are 32 bit installations. I have been advised to install IneNote as 64bit but your website says all office programs must be either 32 or 64bit.

 

 

I have lost all ability to print to OneNote from any application (including the browser), or to Send to OneNote from any application. I purchased OneNote 2010 in June of 2010, installed it,  and it has worked great until approximately April 15.

 

The error message i get from outlook is AddIns are disabled. But none are indicated as disabled.

 

When printing from the browser nothing happens. Somtimes the printer icon will appear on the task bar but nothing is in the queue.

 

I have run the office diagnostics.  No Problems

Repaired OneNote from the original disk.

Checked AddIns in all office applications None are disabled

Removed and added a OneNote printer.

Read and completed an answer from  William Zhou 4/25/11

 

The "Send to OneNote " device is there, it is set up according to the Zhou letter above, no addins are disabled yet it's not working.

 

All to no avail.

 

Any other ideas.

We can remove from registry “Send To OneNote 2010” subkey follow these steps:

1. Exit all Office programs.
2. Click Start, In the Open box, type regedit, and then press ENTER:
3. Locate the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\Send To OneNote 2010

1. Right-Click “Send To OneNote 2010” in the left pane ,Click Delete ,and then click Yes
2. Repair Office 2010, Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
3. Click Programs and Features.
4. Click the Office 2010 program that you want to repair, and then click Change.
5. Click Repair, and then click Continue. You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

I'm sorry I did not respond to your answer above earlier. 

 

I deleted the registry entry as directed, then ran repair from the ONeNote 2010 CD. I then rebooted.

 

There was no effect.

 

When I right click to priint from IE9 no indication of printing occurs and nothing shows up in OneNote.

 

When I click "send to OneNote" from IE9 I get the error message that AddIns are disabled. I checked AddIns and they are showing in IE9 as enabled.

 

I discovered last week that the print or send does not work in my primary user account but it does work from the administrator account. I don't see any security settings that would limit it but I am not an expert in that area.

Any further help is appreciated.

Did any one resolve this issue?  I run a Windows 7 64 bit system with admin privlages removed.  There are tools like Beyond Trust that you can utilize to elevate privilages for specified actions.  Example you use BT to elevate the powerpoint exe which pass the required admin rights to the print utility for one note and allows the print to one note to function without issue. However, you cant be expected to use this work around for each office product as this would end up opening up the OS again as users could utilize the admin rights granted to the office products to other location on the machine.  any suggestions would be welcome

I have no idea waht to do at this point. In order to print to OneNote I have been changing the login to the admin account.

I know this is an old thread, but I have been having the exact same problems as described.  I finally thought of turning off my Google toolbar, and now Send to One Note works as it should.  Might not be a techy solution, but it worked!

I run 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium with One Note 2010 and Internet Explorer 11.

My Google toolbar is also turned off, but I still cannot get Send to One Note to work.  When I check All Control Panel Items\Printers, OneNote's printer does not show.

Any further suggestions?
