OneNote 2013 - Select word-by-word via double-click and drag (feature request)
FEATURE REQUEST:
I would love to see the same selection behavior in OneNote like the one in Word, Excel and PowerPoint from today. But, unfortunately I'm missing the feature to select my text word-by-word when double-clicking a word and drag the cursor (don't release the
mouse after the second 'click').
Are there any plans to add this feature with your next update; or later?
Best regards,
Markus

I agree, this feature should be added. I routinely use this in just about every other program in windows.

Agree - from habit I keep trying to double-click and drag to highlight word by word and keep getting annoyed when I realize that it doesn't work the same way that I'm used to. A small but significant downside to program that I get to appreciate more everytime
I use it.
Cheers,
Carsten

I don't understand how a such a standard feature like this gets past the developers. :(

Max Meng,
Do we have an update on this feature request?

Have been waiting for this feature for a long time.
Trips me up all the time it is a standard feature of the UI of many Microsoft applications and OneNote should work the same.
An update would be appreciated.

Yes please. Just started using Onenote yesterday and this non-feature is pissing me off. It's standard in every other program there is that a double click highlights the current word and then you can drag to highlight more stuff. Ridiculous
that you can't do this in Onenote. They had to have specifically made it not work since it's standard Windows behavior.

How can a feature that has been available in apps as far back as Notepad be missed from something as powerful as OneNote? And not even an option to switch it on or off.
Please... add this feature, as it's generally available in the OS itself. Many thanks.

Is this still not on the table as a potential development? It's horribly annoying....
