OutLook receiving multiple copies of the same mail
Hello Everyone.. I m using outlook2007 as my mail client. The Mail server is an exchange 2007 server. My problem is that my outlook client is receiving multiple copies of the same email(this was not happening in general, the problem was with a particular mail only), even though the OWA contains a single copy of this email. Once this email is received, the outlook client stops responding and asks for a restart. However, the same issue was not observed with windows mail client. Finally the issue got resolved when i deleted this particular mail from OWA. Can any of you kindly provide me any information why this was happening?? The email, itself, was probably not corrupted as it was a forwarded mail, and the person who received it (and later forwarded it to us), didn't observe such problems with his outlook client, which was also an outlook2007 mail client. Thanks in advance.

Make sure that there are no rules configured on the outlook which can create duplicate emails. As you said , it happened once, so probabaly no issue with the exchange or outlook.Raj

thanks Rajnish for your reply.. There are no rules as such that could result in a duplication of emails. Even the same sender's emails, other than this particular one, were not duplicated. Ofcourse, deleting the email from the OWA has resolved the issue, but that was only a stone thrown in the dark which fortunately has hit the right spot. I am eager to know the cause.

For sure some thing on the OL profile, as OWA was fine. Probabaly try to reconfigure the profile and check if that can help you out.Raj
