Outgoing Attachments
Is there any way in Exchange 2010 to control outgoing attachments? Ideally, I would like to be able to strip outgoing email of certain attachments and let the email go but I would settle for either a quarentine or complete block of the message preferably with some sort of notification of what happened. Thanks Bert

There is some basic functionaility with hub transport rules that allow redirection or bouncing the entire messageb ack to the sender, however to do what you want completely, you should really look at anti-virus/anti-spam products such as Forefront or Scanmail/IMSS etc... http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/05/11/451274.aspx Introducing Attachment Inspection in Transport Rules

I do have Forefront installed but as far as I can tell, it is concerned primarily with incoming messages. I couldn't find anything in it to control the outgoing stuff but I will check again. Thanks Bert
