Outlook 2003 Distribution Groups Problem
Hi there,
I have a shared mailbox accessed by several people. Within the contacts there are around 10 distribution lists containing 20 - 60 email addresses each
When a user tries to sent to multiple distribution lists the first DL added to the new email fails.
We have tested adding the DL's in different orders and different numbers but the first always fails.
If the user logs into OWA and sends to the groups, everything sends fine. We also have another user that accesses this mailbox and sends to multiple DL's with no errors. Im thinking this must be an issue with the outlook client but cant find any info or
posts mentioning this.
Could anyone shed some light on this for me please as im pretty stuck with this one.
Many thanks in Advance!
Phill

I have just had an update.
The user is sending to a distribution list in his contacts, this DL contains 10 or so named lists each containing 20 - 60 addresses.
When you click the plus the DL's contained within the master list are displayed but are not underlined and do not have crosses next to them to expand.
So when the email is sent it cannot send as it doesnt appear to be able to see any addresses.

“If you received a distribution list as an e-mail attachment, only the e-mail addresses that are in the Global Address List will work. Addresses
that are from a Personal Address Book or Contacts folder will not work. You will need to get those contacts or addresses from the sender and add them to your Personal Address Book or Contacts folder.”
