Outlook 2007 & SBS Exchange
I am trying to get a new user connected to the exchange on SBS 2003
but I keep getting the message: "The connection to Microsoft Exchange
is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this
action." Or It says that the name can't be resolved.
The other users connect to exchange fine. I put in the exchange server
just like the other computers have it in the mail account settings.
They are using a servername.domainname.local
The computer has been formatted, the OS is XP Pro with all the latest
updates
1. User can get to / log in to OWA.
2. I have ensured that the certificate is in the Trusted Root
Authorities
on the client machines. There are no certificate errors displayed.
3. I went through the Rpc/HTTPS set up documentation and confirmed
that all
settings, port numbers, registry entries, etc were correct.
Users have no problem connecting to the Exchange server when starting
Outlook remotely; the issue arises when they try to authenticate. The
user can access all the files on the server so I know she connects to
the domain correctly.
I have searched and tried MANY different fixes but haven't found one
that is a solution yet.
