I have several people in my organization who would like to use symbols for contact entries, specifically in the Full Name field. However, Outlook 2007 does not seem to allow this. The only field that allows the Symbols group (which contains Equations, Symbol, and Horizontal Line) to become available is the Notes field. Is this normal behavior?

I am able to input the symbol I want in the word in the Notes field, and then paste that into the Full Name field, but that is an extra step.
