I am trying to export only several distribution lists from my contacts to a spreadsheet so I can put into a professional contact manegemnet softfare sytem for mailings.  How do I do export distribution lists only?

Short answer: You can't using an "export" function - no such functionality exists

What you can do is open the DL which creates a tab-delimited file that you can be opened up in Excel (you will need to clean up the first couple of rows which preceed the DL members)
