Outlook 2007 Sent items Missing
Hi I have a problem with one client computer running Windows 7 sp1. The sent items folder is empty. The client communicates with Exchange 2003 in cached mode. Two weeks ago the emails in the sent items folder disappeared. I made a copy of the sent items folder from the Exchange server mailbox where they are all sotored. I saw all the emails and when I was creating the .pst file. When I add the .pst file as a data file from account settings, once again nothing shows up. The sent items folder is empty. I have tried the reset folders switch, I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling office 2007 and it did not work. Configurations Server is SBS 2003 SP2 Intel Xeon CPU 2.20GHz 2.19GHz, 3.75 GB of RAM Client Windows 7 SP1 32 bit OS Office 2007 SP2 AMD Athlon II X2 B24 Processor 3.00 GHz 4.00 GB of RAM Any help would be appreciated

Is this issue with one user or many? Can you see the items via OWA? Are you sure you havent got a view which in Outlook which is causing this issue? Have you tried working in inline mode and NOT cache mode? Have you tried creating a new Outlook profile and test both on the SAME and DIFFERENT PC? Sukh Additionally, what is the size of PST file and the affected user's mailbox? and what do you mean by " I made a copy of ...... and when I was creating the .pst file"? If you can see the email message in OWA, then the issue might be caused by the corrupted PST file. You may try to repair it. for more information, see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/repair-an-ost-or-pst-file-in-outlook-HA001056300.aspx.Fiona

As per your words, when you say you moved all the mails to PST it should be, serach the exact one and map it. Please keep us posted. Regards, Vinod

Silly question but are you using pop3 or imap4 via Exchange? Is AutoArchive enabled in Outlook?

Hi, Missing folders issue from Microsoft Outlook 2007 can be resolved by renaming the ‘Folder.nch’ file. You can restore the missing folder by renaming this folder and refreshing the folder list. To perform this task, close Microsoft Outlook 2007 and select ‘Start’ menu. Then click ‘Search’ and select ‘All files and folders’. Then type ‘Folder.nch’ in the named box and click on ‘Find Now’. After finding the folder, right click on the folder and click on ‘Rename’. After renaming the folder, start Microsoft Outlook 2007. Right click on the ‘IMAP server’ in the ‘Folder’ toolbar and click on ‘Refresh Folder list’. You may also want to enable the dumpster to figure out if Sent Items is really missing. Or you may reset your view :)
