Outlook 2007 does not remember preferred font settings once it is closed

Dear all,

Does any one knows why outlook 2007 does not remember preferred font settings once it is closed or restarted?

I am a remote IT support, one user who uses outlook 2007 can't change font setting even he followed below correct way to do it,

See below:

Change the default font or text color for e-mail messages

https://support.office.microsoft.com/en-us/article/Change-the-default-font-or-text-color-for-e-mail-messages-296a1d8c-6afd-44b7-a5c3-b42fe7b26bce?CorrelationId=cd507529-0184-442f-bbc9-5f4365b10842&ui=en-US&rs=en-001&ad=US#bm3

Then we delete and rebuild his outlook profile, can't work.

So we installed office 2007 SP3 then test it but it still can't work.

Then we let local IT reinstall his outlook but it still can't work.

Need help!

Hello,

In order to permanently change your font settings and store them, you can follow the below listed steps if the above suggested solution is not working for you.

  1.        Open the registry by pressing the  Window + r key. Type regedit to open the registry.
  2.        Go to : Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER  ->Software ->Microsoft ->Office-> 12.0 (for Outlook 2007)

->Common-> Mail Settings

After this, create a new DWORD Value. And  to create this, right click on the right panel of the directory. A New button will appear.  Select the Dword value.

After this, rename it as:

Value name: ThemeFont

Value type: REG_DWORD

Default value: 0

Note: The Default value can also be changed as per the need.

Possible values:

0 : Use the font specified in Stationery (if specified)

1 : Use my font when replying to and forwarding messages

2 : Always use my fonts

Thanks & Regards
