Hi XP Pro running Outlook 2007. Just recently when outlook opens up, it hangs then crashes. Outlook does is usual in issuing a warning and offering to restart but this cycle continues until you cancel. It will run quite happily in safe mode, outlook safe mode that is. It will still crash in Windows safe mode. I have uninstalled/reinstalled office but the problem remains. I have also renamed the ost file, but to no avail. Event log only shows an application hang with outlook.exe. Any ideas??

Hi,Only one client computer have the problem? If yes, it seems like client's problem.Did you try to use another account to log on to the computer? And try to use your account to log on to another computer to confirm.If outlook runs OK, your profile has some problem.Try to rename it and log on the computer again to create your profile automatically.Frank Wang

Hi Yes only one client, it's part of a 2 PC work group, email is POP. Interesting idea about logging on using a different account, I'll give that a try. Thanks.
