User opens Outlook 2010 and has to reset all folder settings to show the Preview Pane. If /cleanviews switch is used, Preview Pane shows up with no problems. Not using the /cleanviews switch, goes right back to no Preview Pane.

Where is the source of this setting so I can find it and kill it with fire or atleast check for a permissions issue? XML file in the Roaming Profile? Somewhere in the registry?

By the Preview Pane, do you mean the Reading Pane from where we can preview the email message?

There are some registry key settings you can try.

Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
