Outlook 2010 converting plain text emails to RTF

Hi All

We are sending a plain text email (by forwarding an existing plain text email ... format is showing plain text in the Format text ribbon of Outlook 2010).

The email contains a PDF attachment, but when the other person receives it, the format is DAT.

I assume the email is being converted to RTF (any other reason it might?).

Internally when we receive the email it looks OK (all use Outlook 2010/2013/Outlook Web).

I've been through the options and nothing says RTF within Outlook (HTML - yes).

Any ideas on what's going on? and how to fix it?

Addins ? Corruption ?

Thanks

Dave

Have you checked the Contact properties already and made sure that it is set to "Let Outlook decide?"
