Outlook 2013 & IMAP account

HI there,

I have 3 x windows 7 (64bit) and have installed Outlook 2013 on each machine, On one machine I have managed to get the IMAP folders working.  On the other two I use the same settings, but can not get the IMAP account set up. Outlook wants to send a test message and it fails and the only option i have is to click on next which tries again or cancel in which case the account is not set up.

Can anyone help me get the account set up - I would love a work around not to send a test message as we only use the IMAP folders to save our emails to an external database, not to send or receive emails?? This all worked fine in Outlook 2002.

thanks

Have your tried to create a new Outlook profile and re-setup your IMAP account in second computer?

IMAP provides amethod to access your mail from multiple devices. In general, there is no problem if you setup the same account in different Outlook on PC. Please try to use another IMAP account from different provider, like Gmail, Yahoo to check if we still got the same problem in second or third device.

In addition, I would advise our customer uses Microsoft live account solution such as outlook.com, msn.com, and etc. to sync our messages, calendars, contacts between server and client. We can setup the account in Outlook 2013 through Exchange ActiveSync protocal (EAS) to let it run.

Thanks.
