Outlook 2013 Choking On Print Preview

I have a PST which 4400 emails. Some were imported without the images.

Anyway, the emails can be viewed without problem and SCANPST does not find a problem.

But when I select a batch of 400 emails for print preview Outlook starts and I see a lot of HD activity and then chokes and goes into not responding.

I think it is the images that it is somehow trying to download to print. Those are long gone. is there anyway to tell Outlook just skip what is not in the body of the email? Is there a log I can turn on to see where it is choking?

OK, rebooted, tried again, got preview working, went to print to PDF printer and got 'Outlook out of memory'

Hi,

Does this issue continue if we print a single email or fewer emails? It may take a few moments and may cause slow performance issue when printing multiple emails at the same time.

Before printing Outlook emails, please close all other applications in case the issue is caused by the desktop heap limitation.

This issue may also happen if the printing style settings file (OutPrnt) is corrupt. If this is the case, we can solve this issue by renaming the OutPrnt file to .old when Outlook is closed.

You can find this file from here:

drive:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

If above doesn't fix the issue, please check the Event Viewer and see if you can more information about why Outlook crashed. (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools-> Event Viewer )

Hope this helps.
