Outlook 2013 Navigation Pane Vertical Scroll Bar

Hi,

In Outlook 2013, the vertical scroll bar in the Navigation Pane is only visible when the mouse is hovering over the Navigation Pane.

Is there any way to make the scroll bar be visible permanently?

    Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Do you mean the vertical scroll bar in the folder list pane? If so, I'm afraid there is option to make it visible permanently. Microsoft designed it for clean interface initiative purpose. However, I've heard several users complain about it. I'll submit a feedback via internal way. Microsoft values all customer feedback. Although revisions cannot be made to the application, your feedback is appreciated. It will help improve later versions of these products.

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I thought that was the case but I hoped someone would have come up with a workaround like this one for IE: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_rt/scroll-bar-keeps-dissapearing/7072eec8-6fcf-42b5-a105-0dcc29d7714c?page=1

Hi Kevin,

I understand that it would be annoying for users who want the vertical scrollbar to always show, but I'm afraid there is no workaround for this issue now. Hope this behavior would be optimized in later release.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Hi,

Thanks, Steve. There are many comments on various forums complaining about this behaviour. I think it should at least be configurable, and it would be better for the vertical scroll bar to be visible all the time.

How do I send feedback directly to Microsoft please?

    Thanks,

Apologize for any inconvenience caused, but as far as I know, there is no direct way to send a feedback to Microsoft. Since this issue has been complained by many users, I guess Microsoft has noticed this. Microsoft values all customer feedback and will do the proper thing to make our products better.
