Outlook 2013 and Windows 10

Outlook will not open at all and the only message I get is the one in my original question.

I checked my pst file and I have full access.

Instead of just resetting the permissions for your pst-file, reset the permissions for your entire user folder. This process is explained in the entire article that "Melon Chen CHN" copied the previous instructions from;

PST File access is denied after upgrading to Windows 10

Note that when you switched from a local account to a Microsoft Account, you select the Microsoft Account and not your local account for the permissions. You can of course also add both.

Hi,

Do you also get error about the pst-file in Outlook? In this case, youll need to adjust the file permissions for the pst-file and grant yourself Full Control permissions.

  1. Browse to the pst-file location.
  2. Right click on the file and choose Properties.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Press the Edit button.
  5. Select your user account.
  6. Select the Full control permission.
  7. Press OK until all dialogs are closed.
  8. Start Outlook again.

Hi,

Please also run a repair of Office from Control Panel -> Programs and Features, check if this will help.

You can also create a new Outlook Profile to test, does the issue persist with the new Profile?
