Outlook 2013 opening another calendar - No Connection

Hi ,

I have an exchange 2013 server with Office 2013/Outlook 2013.

users have rights to other peoples calendars, and if you go into OWA you can see all the calendars and everything works fine.

However in Outlook 2013 (and it's not on everyone) but if you open someone else's calendar which you have rights it comes up with " no connection " and doesn't display the calendar. Tried different computers, cache mode, online mode, Download shared folders on/off

any ideas?

Hi,

How do users open shared calendar in outlook 2013?

Since all the calendars works fine in OWA, then there should be no issue with permission.

Whats the detailed error when opening someone else's calendar?

Please check this KB:

Hi There,

I have narrowed this down a little, if one of the problem users only has "free/Busy time" selected you get a "no connection" when accessing there calendar, however if they change the permissions to "Full Details" it works ok.

any idea?

Hi,

Appologize for delay response.

Base on your description, I suggest to remove all the permission on mailbox. Then use Set-MailboxCalendarFolder cmdlet to set the default calendar permission to check this issue. Test all the following permissions.

  • AvailabilityOnly, LimitedDetails, FullDetails, Editor

Best Regards.

Hi There,

I have tried the requested, however if I grant AvailabilityOnly or LimitedDetails I get the "No Connection" error when trying to access the calendar from the person I have given the permission too.

It only works if I grant the FullDetails permission.

Any more ideas?

Hi Brian,

Run these cmdlets and let me know, what access does the user has as per these and what access

'DEFAULT' has .

This cmdlet to check who has permission on a mailbox calendar and what permission.

Get-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity john@contoso.com:\calendar |fl

Get-MailboxFolderPermission:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335061(v=exchg.141).aspx
And use Get-MailboxPermission to check delegate permission.
