Outlook Adds Extra Line Under Signature
We use Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010, and we use transport rules to automatically add a disclaimer to all messages sent out.  Management wants to give our users the option of adding our company logo to their signatures within Outlook, which, technically, is fine.  However, when a user adds the picture to the signature and saves it, it looks like the picture gets wrapped in <p> tags, which causes an extra line to form under the logo, making it float too high over the system added disclaimer.  Is there any way to get rid of this trailing line break?

Hi,

Create a JPG and insert it into the test signature, but I do not see any abnormal (see below)

If you have any blank area in your source picture, please cut it. If I am misunderstand something, please help to capture a screenshot and post here. (Cover the Privacy info if necessary.)

Any question? Feel free to post back.

When I first insert the jpg, everything looks fine...

As soon as I click Save, I get a line break right after the end of the signature.  Deleting it and saving again yields the same results.

I know, petty and knitpicky, right?  :)

Actually, I think I just found a solution, derived from this page - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/officeversion_other-outlook/outlook-2010-email-signature-formatting/293a14d7-3df9-4e58-8780-3367e7473657

It's for a different problem, but I found that if I go in and edit the .htm and .rtf files directly, it solves the problem.  As a side note, however, I've found that if I go back into the signature in Outlook and simply click save, the line break reappears, and I have to go back to the .htm and .rtf files to fix it.

Thanks for your time, Tony.

Edit the signature.htm file located under drive:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures and remove the non breaking space. It will be after the log or the last lines.
