Outlook And OWA connections intermittent
Here is a bizarre one. We run Exchange Server 2003 and for the longest time it has worked like a charm. Recently however especially during peak hours, there is intermitent connectivity to the server from outside the network. Inside the network Outlook works just fine. However at outside offices that connect using RPC over HTTP the connection will come up then die out on them. But things seem fine during off peak hours. This is the same with OWA, OWA both inside the network and outside will work for a time then give a page can't be displayed error. The team here has been racking their brains for nearly a week now. Couldthis just be too many users attempting ot hit one box? We have about 1000 users. Any ideas?

If you havent already done so - i'd enable logging on your firewall for tcp/443 traffic. see if there are any reasons for the dropped traffic.
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

You know, this seems to EZ, but I have had the problem with owa FE server. Page not found and not displayed. I tried syncing passwords, looked at the firewall etc. The solution, I uninstalled URL scan and now I am back in business. K.I.S.S.
