Can someone confirm me that, If i want to setup OA to have my remote office users to connect to my exchange server, Do I need 3rd party Certificate only? Can't i use self signed certificates?Thanks, - raj

Thanks...for your quick reply.How do i create the certificate using my own CA?Do i need to create the CA on CAS only or i can create it anywhere. What i understand is that once Certificate is created on the url name, i need to install it on clients computer also (manually).Please comment.- raj

Hi Raj,
Yes, you can create CA on any server. Then, you need to request a new certificate on CA for the Web Site which has RPC Virtual Directory.
You can refer to the following article provided by the Sergey:

After enabling the requested certificate on the web site, you need to install the root Certificate into the clients Trusted Root Certification Authorities which needs to connect to Exchange server through Outlook Anywhere. It is because that the Client needs to trust the certificate on the web site which has RPC virtual directory.
