Outlook Anywhere - Data Protection
OK, searched through 62 hits on the forum about "Outlook Anywhere"; none seemed to address this question:If we decide to implement Outlook Anywhere, how do we disable access to this local (to the user) data upon termination of an employee once cached in an OST on their local machine?I couldn't find anything anywhere else that spoke to this; so I've come here.I was postulating with a co-worker that some sort of dynamic encryption/decryption key could be made available on the server end each time a person launched the application. This would generate a key used to decrypt the data locally, but you would need to a connect to get the key each time. No internet connection no access to the data on a personal machine. Some how couple this feature with the IRM for Outlook and you get control of data you want people to have access...but only on your terms.....Can IRM for Outlook provide this functionality or does Outlook Anywhere have some feature for this (including PIM)?We control our BlackBerry and Wireless Intellisync connected devices in this fashion, seems only reasonable to expect the same sort of "turn off access" functionality to the PC based Outlook.Any ideas on this? Thanks,DamnSkippy

I would of thought access is mananged at a network layer and permissions to data on a server.
