Outlook Room Booking issue
Hi mates, I have received a case whereby the person who has booked a room via outlook has left the company and his ID has got terminated. Now that someone else would like to book the same room. Since the has already been booked, I was requested to delete his booking so that this new guy can book the room again. But the problem is, I cant even find the deleted mailbox in the exchange server which stops me from giving me permision to his mailbox. Please advice if there is any other way for me to cancell the booking.

I don't know of a way to issue a cancellation for the appointment, but you should be able to grant yourself permissions to that resource and just delete that appointment from the calendar. The booking agent should see that time slot as available again and accept the new request.[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

mjolinor is correct, you can't rehome the ownership or manage appointments from previous owner. The appt just gets orphaned and you have to manually delete it from the room and tell your users to delete it from their calendar. IIRC don't think manually deleting the appt from the resource sends out the cancellation to the attendees.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

IIRC don't think manually deleting the appt from the resource sends out the cancellation to the attendees. I believe that only happens if the meeting organizer deletes the appointment from their calendar. The resource is just an attendee. If deleting the meeting from the resource calendar could cancel the meeting for all attendees, then any other attendee could do the same thing. I can't say that this would necessarily be a bad thing if it did work that way (there might be a lot less time spent going to meetings), but I don't believe you can do that.[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

It was not a meeting room in the first place - the person who has left the company had a recurring meeting scheduled on his calendar, his delegate was unable to delete the meeting because the mailbox has been disconnected. Reconnected the mailbox and deleted the meeting from the initiator's calendar solved the problem :)Never stop learning
